Publié le 13 juillet 2022 Mis à jour le 27 juillet 2022

The conference is organized for specialists and for students preparing the 'agrégation'.
Specialists from around the world will gather to discuss the emergence, definition and evolution of Puritanism as a political, religious and cultural movement, from its appearance at the beginning of the reign of Elizabeth I (1558-1603), with the Elizabethan Settlement (1559), to the early 1640s, on the eve of the civil wars, which have also been called the ‘Puritan Revolution’.
